TL;DR: It’s mid as hell and not worth watching.
Synoposis: A boy witnesses a murder he wasn’t supposed to see, and then is incapacitated, memory-deleted, and forced to become an assassin alongside his female partner for a mafia in Los Angeles. Overdone, but interesting in its own right. The combat is the classic retarded anime stuff, though the tactics that are used are more elegant and maybe a bit more realistic.
The female partner is a cold, stoic killer, like Shiki from the Garden of Sinners, but is less attuned to her emotional side. Also, she’s not as hot. The male protagonist is an everyman, which is fine for this story, but I personally like protagonists with a flare to them.
After the first episode (which was actually quite good), things start to die down. Every episode or so there’s a new target, and they shoot him up. Not that exciting. All that I found worth watching in the beginning was the love triangle drama and seeing the character relationships progress.
Then, things take a bit of a turn, and a lot of the mysteries and plots that were supposed to get resolved later get resolved soon than I anticipated. Which I thought was cool at first, but it turns out that the series didn’t have much to show for it after they were unveiled. At episode 12 I finally gave up on the series — the side characters were too boring, the combat was too retarded, some scenes are too edgy and cringey, the plot wasn’t interesting, and the series has no depth. The animation isn’t even that good.
